Customer Activity Report

The Customer Activity Report provides sales, gross profit, and invoice information for customers.

Report Contents

  • Sales amounts and the number of invoices comes from summary history.
  • Total sales for each customer for the selected period and the percent of total company sales each customer comprises for the period.
  • Gross profit amounts (Sales amount - COGS amount) for each customer for the selected period and the percent of total company gross profits each customer comprises for the period.
  • Average invoice amounts (Sales/number of invoices) for each customer for the selected period and the percent of total company invoice amounts each customer comprises for the period.
  • The number of invoices sent to each customer during the selected period and the percent of total invoices each customer comprises.
  • Grand totals for sales, gross profit, and number of invoices.
  • The Pct/Tot in the Sales column is the amount for the customer divided by the total amount for the company (from summary history).
  • The Pct/Tot in the Gross Profit column is the grand total divided by the company total for the period and year. Pct/Tot may be less than 100 if you print this report for a range of or all customers, customer classes, and sales reps.
  • The Pct/Tot in the No of Invoices column on the Customer line is the number of invoices for the customer divided by the grand total. Pct/Tot for items is the number of invoices for the item divided by the total number of invoices for the customer.

Producing the Report

  1. Use the Data Filter to select the range of filtering options or leave the filter blank to include all available data.
  2. Select the fiscal period for the report from the Period field.
  3. Select the fiscal year for the report from the Year field.
  4. Determine how to sort the report's contents from the Sort By section.
  5. Select, if applicable, the Banded Rows check box to highlight alternating lines on the report to make the report easier to read.
    Note: Use the System Manager Print Preferences function in the System Manager>Company Setup>Business Rules function to define the default setting for this check box. You can then override this default when you print the report.
  6. Click a command button to 
  7. Click To
    Print Process the Customer Activity Report.
    Output Output the report as a PDF.
    Send Save the report as a PDF and attach it to an email using your default mail program.
    Preview View a preview of the Customer Activity Report.
    Reset Set all fields to their default values.
